Second Robotics Competition of the Season

March 16th and 17th was the second robotics competition of the season for team 4469, which took place at Bonney Lake. We had the opportunity to compete against and interact with up to 35 robotics teams. While also learning about various robots of other team’s capabilities and functions. Whether this being about the robot itself or what it can do. In addition to this, giving goodie bags, pins, stickers or other unique items. Students also got the opportunity to talk to judges to potentially earn a reward. Meanwhile in the stands, other members of the team are diligently collecting data on various robots on how they contribute to matches and making the most of the situation even with technical difficulties. In addition to this, throughout March 16th during our matches we discovered that we had sensor problems and the robot’s roborio was dying. Even after all of this, our team was able to quickly adapt and solve these problems, rising back and playing outstanding matches. As match 70 concluded, we moved on to alliance selection. Eventually, our team was able to go onto the field and be the 8th alliance captain. With the help of  the data we collected, we formed an alliance with team 4682 known as CyBears and team 8032 known as SAASquatch Robotics. With this alliance team we were able to make it to the match before the final match just by 5 points. However, despite all this, our team has come far with all the challenges we face throughout the whole competition, all contributed in different ways.
